The Fasting Framework

Biblically Inspired Fasting Made Practical

Welcome! If you are someone who feels a call or desire to explore Fasting but has failed in the past, or just don't know where to start - you're in the right place! Or - you will be...

D.J. Eshelman is working on a new series of books called the Fasting Framework - based around the idea of PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE when it comes to fasting.

So many people think of starving for 40 days with only water... they think of suffering... and they think "I can't do that."

We've discovered a better way, and that is to progressively increase the level of challenge each time you fast.

Obedience > Suffering

Contrary to popular belief, most cases in the bible regarding fasting do not require suffering but obedience.

This framework will aim to let you be obedient in fasting at varying levels until you are ready for more.

Why 'suffer' more?

Greater dependence on God's provision has yielded great results with so many people - it is our belief that this is the intention of our Creator. But, there's a problem.

Our Modern Society and Diets are not Fasting Friendly

Simply put - our bodies are simply not ready for fasting as much as they would have been in biblical times.

So- D.J. has spent several years perfecting techniques to progressively 'lean in' to fasting slowly over a period of time - REGARDLESS of how you are fasting, you will ALWAYS transition in slowly and transition out slowly. This is not only safer, but helps you learn to trust yourself to trust God's design!

So... Where is it?

D.J. is working on the books now. We don't have a date, but we can tell you that the framework will be MUCH MORE than just learning his method to fasting.

The Framework is designed to be used within several studies of self improvement, bible study, and even learning God's view on money and business.

The first of the Framework will introduce both D.J.'s Signature Fast (a 21-day process practicing a transition clear down to water only for 3 days and back up slowly and safely) and support for Christians who want to explore their TALENTS and PASSIONS in their Vocation. This first book will be especially focused on those who desire to become an entrepreneur or begin side jobs to build what he calls a "Portfolio of Preparedness."
